DESCRIPTION
Over the summer of 2013, a group of aspiring Landscape Architecture students at the University of California, Berkeley were assigned the task of coming up with innovative and socially relevant design interventions for the Tenderloin area in downtown San Francisco.

The students had to choose to work within one of five categories: art, sanitation, community stewardship, building improvement or ecology. They were given three weeks to conceive and develop ideas, culminating in a final presentation in front of a panel of industry professionals. The work shown here is a sampling of these student projects.
